Green Tara, known as the universal mother, is revered in Buddhist and Hindu cultures. She embodies feminine qualities of warmth, compassion and practical support. Tara will not judge, reject or abandon us due to our human imperfections; like a mother, she sees our potential and wants to nurture it.

She is a Buddha for our modern age, a sublime personification of compassion, gentle playfulness and wisdom in female form. She vows to always be reborn as a female. Her right leg is extended, as if she is getting ready to step down off her lotus throne, showing she is a Goddess of action.
